Portfolio reviews and expert speakers at our virtual Photography event

Mon 15 Feb 2021

Our optional face-to-face events, where online students get to meet their peers and academic team, are always hugely popular. They usually involve attending a conference or taking part in hands-on workshops, along with lots of social activities.

From 3-6 March 2021, MA Photography and BA Top-Up students will gather together virtually for a series of exciting guest lectures, student- and alumni-led talks and activities on the theme of 'adaptation'.

This theme was chosen to celebrate how many have responded to the challenges that the global pandemic has forced on their photography practices.

What lessons have been learned, what are we continuing to learn, and how can we foster positive mindsets towards creative and practical restraints to sustain innovative, engaging, and meaningful photography?

Guest speakers from the world of photography include:

The event, which will take place over the course of four days, will also include portfolio reviews. Students will get feedback from academic staff and industry insiders on any photographs they choose.

These portfolio reviews are a great way for students to see how their own practice, including their university coursework, stands up in the wider photography world.

It may be online, but the event will also include plenty of time for students to socialise with their classmates from around the world.

It should be an inspiring, productive and fun few days!

Follow #FFAdapt21 on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook for the latest updates about the event.
