Edward Kiernan is an award-winning technical field producer. After leaving the US military in 2008 he completed his Journalism MA at Falmouth University and began his career at the NBC News London bureau. 

Over the past decade he has worked as a producer, cameraman, editor and drone operator for numerous international news networks including CNN, NBC News, Al Jazeera America, APTN and Bloomberg. 

He has worked on breaking news, features, high-profile interviews, such as with Vladimir Putin, and covered everything from the Syrian refugee crisis and European terror attacks to the death of Nelson Mandela and the London Olympics.

  • Nominated for Emmy Awards for his coverage of the Charlie Hebdo and Manchester Arena attacks
  • Having the family of Rwandan presidential candidate Diane Rwigara credit his work on her case as part of the reason for her acquittal and release from prison
  • Being the primary cameraman for an interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin
  • Runner-up at the BJTC Awards for his first ever documentary that was filmed as part of his Falmouth MA
