The first Falmouth Flexible MA Illustration Face-to-Face event took place in London.
As part of the event, students went to The House of Illustration where they visited exhibitions and participated in a practical workshop.
The House of Illustration is the UK’s only public gallery dedicated solely to illustration and graphic art. They exhibit historic and contemporary artwork from all over the world that champions illustration as a vital and varied art form. Recent projects have explored picture books, comics, political cartooning, mapping, sculpture, animation and printmaking.
Face-to-Face participants were also given the opportunity to visit either the Franz West exhibition or the Dorothea Tanning exhibition at Tate Modern, Britain's national gallery of international modern art.
Students also took part in some location drawing with Lyndon Hayes, a high profile illustrator who keeps an incredible Instagram account where he shares his sketchbook.
