MA Photography graduate features in 'A Woman's Work' project

Tue 1 Dec 2020

Women have played a key role in many manufacturing and service industries, but this reality is neither acknowledged nor strongly represented in European cultural archives.

'A Woman’s Work' is a project from European Prospects that uses photography and digital media to address that deficit through artistic collaboration and exchange across borders.

Gemma Willis, who is a graduate of Falmouth Flexible's part-time, online MA Photography, will have her project on working mothers featured online and in exhibitions and publications.

Last year, as part of the MA Photography Graduate show, we talked to Gemma about her experience on the course. She told us:

"The MA has helped me immensely, I don’t think I would have had the motivation and confidence to produce this kind of work without the support and advice from tutors and peers. The sense of community in the group was amazing, the fact we lived in different countries didn’t matter as the online platform kept the group together and ideas to flow."
